Global Health in St. Louis
Global Health Symposium
Each spring, FIHTM hosts a Global Health Symposium, where a keynote speaker from outside the Washington University community is invited to come speak about new international health issues in their area of expertise. The symposium also features additional talks and a poster exhibition of medical students who have done research abroad.
The Hunger Banquet is held annually and is designed to create conversation surrounding global hunger. The night will simulate global hunger disparities and highlight the current state of our world.
Faculty members share their research and clinical experiences in global health in a casual setting, where students can interact and network with leaders in various fields. Two talks are held each semester.
Members of FIHTM volunteer with International Institute and collaborate with other student groups to focus on improving the health of underserved populations here in St. Louis.
